Protocol version 2: this irbt refuses v0.2.x firmware, so reflash the
bridge when you upgrade the host tools.- Battery monitoring (
battery-monitorfeature, on by default): the
firmware reads the battery on GPIO4 once a minute and reports the
charge to the TV as the Bluetooth battery level, which used to be fixed
at 100%. It assumes 3×AA cells; setCELLinfirmware/src/battery.rs
for a LiPo. irbt statusshows the battery voltage and estimated charge, or "none
fitted" / "not measured";--jsonincludes it asstatus.battery.- Hardware: a Schottky diode between the battery and the "5V" pad, which
is wired straight to USB VBUS, so USB no longer back-feeds the battery.
The voltage divider now taps the battery side of it, with a 100 nF
filter cap. - Hardware: a 100 Ω supply filter for the IR receiver, and a 10 kΩ base
pull-down that keeps the IR LED off during reset. - Docs: the VS1838B has the same pin order as a TSOP38238 (not the
reverse), and the 2N2222's TO-92 pinout varies by vendor.
